Parts of Speech: According to English tradition, there are eight Parts of Speech in our English Language. Those are :
  1. Noun
  2. Pronoun
  3. Adjective
  4. Verb
  5. Adverb
  6. Preposition
  7. Conjunction
  8. Interjection
As we all know, A human body has many parts and their function must be the difference from each other and also every part is important for human life. If one part will not work sincerely, it creates many difficulties. Similarly, when we write any sentence, we have to focus on each and every part/word of the sentence comes from which categories of the speech. Otherwise, it will be the wrong sentence. 
Which words you use to write and speak in your day to day life, that must come from these eight parts of speech. So let’s get started.

1. Noun

In a sentence which word indicates any name, person, place, religion, numbers, thing, an idea is called noun.
“Or”
After all, anything that you see in this world is a noun.
Example: “Alok”, Father”, “India”, “Nintynine” “Laptop”.
  1. NASA is one of the leading Space Organization.
  2. My name is Alok.
  3. I am from Arunachala Pradesh.
In the above three sentences, NASA, Alok and Arunachala Pradesh are the noun.

2. Pronoun

In a sentence, which word is used instead of a noun or repetition of a noun is known as Pronouns.
Example-1: Ram is going to Cuttack. He is going by Bus. He will return home by 9.00 PM.
Example-2: Please don’t force me to accept your gifts. It will create a bad impression on society. 
 
In the above two examples “He” and “It” are used as Pronoun instead of  “Ram” and “gift” respectively.

3. Adjective

In a sentence, which word says something about nouns and pronouns is called adjective. 
“Or”
In a sentence, which word modifies or qualifies a noun or pronoun is called Adjective.
Example: 
  1. John is a criminal.
  2. The Peacock is the national bird of India.
  3. How beautiful the sky is!
In the above, the 3 examples criminal, national and beautiful is the examples of Adjective and it says about John, Peacock, and Sky.
 

4. Verb

In a sentence, which words indicate an action of a noun or pronoun is called a verb.
Example: 
  1. Narendra Modi won the 2019 general Election.
  2. MS Dhoni is attending the IPL meeting.
  3. Ramachandra is writing a Poem.
In the above examples won, is attending is writing are the examples of the verb. Because these words indicate some works.

5. Adverb

In a sentence which word says something about the verb and adjective is known as Adverb.
 “Or”
In a sentence in which word modifies or qualifies a verb or adjective is called Adverb.
Example: 
  1. Krish runs very well.
  2. Millamant prepares dishes quickly.
  3. The train moved slowly.
In the above example, very well, quickly, and slowly are examples of Adverb and these words say about the run, prepares and moved which are the verb of the above sentences.

6. Preposition

In a sentence, which word makes or creates a relation noun/subject, the verb to the object is called Preposition.
Example:
  1. My shirt is on the shelf. 
  2. We use woolen clothes during winter.
  3. I am fond of the Chicken.
In the above three examples “on”, “during” and “of” are the example of Preposition.

7. Conjunction

In a sentence, which word connects two clauses or two sub sentences and phrases are called Conjunction.
Example:
  1. The NDA Government dismissed not only Article 35A but also 370 of the constitution of India.
  2. Mahanadi flows in Chattisgarh and Odisha state.
  3. I have a mobile phone, but it is out of order.
In the above three examples “not only… but also”, “and”, and “but” are the example of Conjunction.

8. Interjection

In a sentence, which word indicates sudden emotional feelings such as happy moments, sad moments, surprising moments are called interjection and there will be an exclamation symbol (!).
Example: 
  1. Oh!, Narendra Modi banned 1000 and 500 rupees notes.
  2. Alas!, I lost my son in the crowd.
  3. Oh No! You just missed the train.
In the above example “Oh!”, “Alas!”, “Oh No!” are the examples of Interjection.
